Never Give Up

Cody Bramwell competes on the Freeride World Tour — where the world’s best freeriders face off on steep, technical, snow-covered faces across the globe. This season, the Swedish-British snowboarder went from last in the rankings to winning the biggest competition of his life — in just four weeks.

CANADA
After the first three competitions on the Freeride World Tour, Cody Bramwell was ranked last in the total standings. When he had finished his run in Kicking Horse, Canada, he posted on social media and begged his followers to unfollow him, saying it was probably the worst comp run he had made in his career. Cody had hit rock bottom.

GEORGIA
Fast forward one week, Cody finds himself standing on top of Kakhiani in the Tetnuldi region in Georgia. Below him — a powdery face and his last chance to reach the finals. Cody puts down a heater of a run and wins the competition, moving him into 7th in the rankings and above the cut for the last two competitions.

AUSTRIA
Fieberbrunn — low tide and very warm weather, a total change of scenery from the past week in Georgia. Cody lays down another fantastic ride, putting him in second, only beaten by his friend Liam Rivera, moving Cody up to third in the total rankings going into the Freeride World Tour finals.

SWITZERLAND
Bec des Rosses, Verbier. It’s the 30th anniversary of Verbier Extreme, the pinnacle of competitive freeriding and the final of the Freeride World Tour 2025. Cody’s best friends are waiting for him at the bottom. Between them and the tip of his board lies the biggest dream of his life. Confident and almost too relaxed, he starts his run with a massive backflip into an impossibly steep landing peppered with rocks above huge exposure. Minutes later, the score comes in, and it’s 92.67, a score no one will beat today. The humble kid and goofy rider from Åre just delivered one of the best runs ever witnessed on The Bec.
