Using an integrated Japanese fabric-insulation-stitching system, the Free Padded Overshirt is possibly the most comfortable mid-layer we have ever created. A stretchable, breathable and lightweight padding is wrapped in a stretchable, breathable and water-resistant fabric, providing the perfect combination of technical performance and contemporary styling. Use it as a mid-layer when freeriding or as a stand-alone garment for ski-touring, spring conditions, travelling or on down days.

The Free System™ has an oversized fit, designed to be worn baggy. If you prefer a more regular fit — consider sizing down.

    An instant hit with our staff and team, the Free Padded Overshirt is incredibly comfortable and versatile. Using a newly developed Japanese technology that integrates insulation, fabric and even stitching provides a surprisingly useful combination of stretchable coziness and technical performance. The padding is made from four types of spiral-shaped fibres that are intertwined to achieve superior stretchability and volume. The outer fabric is DWR-treated for water resistance.

    Use it as a highly technical mid-layer over a base-layer, under a shell, and it will keep you warm, dry and comfortable while providing unlimited freedom of movement. Or use it as a stand-alone jacket while ski-touring or hitting the resort in spring. Or just wear it all the time — when travelling, commuting or just lounging about — that’s what we do.

    Technical insulation performance — intertwined spiral fibres make insulation extremely lightweight and highly breathable.

    Water-resistant DWR treated fabric will withstand lighter precipitation while ski-touring or barhopping.

    Oversized straight fit with contemporary styling.

  • Main fabric: Japanese woven 3D-stretch twill fabric. 81 % nylon. 19 % elastane.

    Main fabric denier: 20D / 30D

    Insulation: Japanese 3D-stretch insulation with spiral-shaped fibres. 40g.

    Water resistance: Outer fabric is DWR treated.

    Breathability: Non-coated fabric with very high breathability.

    Garment weight: S 404 g, M 430 g, L 470 g, XL 489 g, XXL 504 g.

    Center back length: S 77.5 cm, M 79.5 cm, L 82 cm, XL 84.5 cm, XXL 87 cm.

    Hood/Collar: Classic shirt collar.

    Pockets: Zipped inner chest-pocket in mesh fabric.

    Zippers: YKK zippers.

    Sleeves and cuffs: Cuffs with adjustable snap closure.

    Bottom hem: Straight, relaxed with side slit.

    You pay what you see. All duties and VAT are included in the total price for your order at checkout.

  • Wash the garments in cold water, maximum 30°C, by themselves or with other garments in similar colors. Make sure to close the inner zipper pocket and the center front snap buttons. Do not use fabric softener.
    After wash, we recommend you to hang dry the garment – avoid tumble drying if possible.
