Even though its limited-edition predecessor sold out in a matter of weeks — we decided it was not really what we wanted. We skipped our customary product development protocol, and instead of developing a 2.0 version we went back to the drawing table, creating this new uncompromising ski alpinism concept for our Guide System.

Perfected for light-and-fast alpine adventures like randonée, backcountry skiing and ski mountaineering, the new Guide Shell Hybrid Concept is an ultra-lightweight combination of softshell and hardshell fabrics, providing exceptional breathability, unrestricted freedom of movement and protection from the elements.

The Dermizax®Ultralight 3-layer rip-stop hardshell fabric provides extreme weather protection and lightweight durability.

The newly developed Bluesign-certified softshell fabric combines quick-drying and durable nylon with elastane fibres and a PFC-free DWR treatment.

These might just be the ultimate fair-weather high-output shell pants. They feel extremely light on your body, with a fitted ergonomic patterning that, while keeping things tight, allows you to move freely during the climb. The softshell fabric will transfer heat, keeping you cool, while the hardshell panels will take care of unexpected precipitation, extended snow pressure situations, and well-deserved pow shots on the descent. The pants are equipped with two large pockets, whereof one has a ripstape with a plastic triangl for your transceiver and one small inside pocket. Large ventilation zippers provide effective moisture transportation. The inside leg is reinforced, the bottom hem is adjustable with snap-buttons, and a zipper provides convenient access to the walk-mode mechanism on your boots.
Pair them with our amazing Guide Aerogel Hybrid Pants for some added insulation and you have a combination so comfortable, competent and versatile, you might start using it for more than just ski alpinism.

Shell fabric: 100 % Nylon with Dermizax™ membrane. 97 g/m².

Reinforcement fabric: 100 % Nylon with Dermizax™ membrane. 270 g/m².

Leg Opening: Reinforcement at leg opening. Zipper at back of lower leg to optimize the use of ski-boots in walk-mode as well as crampons. Gaiter metal hook to connect pants to boots. Rips tape loops on inside sides to being able to put cord under the boot to keep pants down and over boots. Adjustable elastic cord with cord lock on inside.

Ventilation: Zipped ventilation at side of leg.

Pockets: Two zipped hand pockets. Two zipped front leg pockets, whereof one with a small pocket and loop for transceiver on inside.

Zippers: YKK Zippers.

Wash & Care

Fine wash the garment in cold water, maximum 30°C, by itself or with other garments in similar colors. Make sure to close all pockets and the front zipper. Do not use fabric softener.
Hang dry after wash – do not tumble dry or iron.
