This is possibly the worlds lightest and warmest full-featured down hood, designed to be worn under a shell, keeping you warm in extremely cold conditions. The 1000 fill power platinum down we use is unique in its ability to insulate, it is only us and a handful of other companies in the world that can afford to use this amazing natural material. It can be compressed to a minimal package, and lofts immediately when unpacked. You can literary feel the down squeezing your arms when you put it on, and the sensation of warmth is immediate. The down is also treated for water resistance which makes it more durable, while keeping you warm and dry even in the wet. The shell material is a Japanese ultra-lightweight DWR-treated 34 g/m2 ripstop nylon that is so thin, you can distinguish the actual down clusters through the fabric. It can be worn as an outer jacket, but although the ultralight fabric is durable for its weight, it can get torn by sharper objects.

1000 fill power goose down insulation that is fluorocarbon free, RDS-certified, bluesign-certified, allergen-free, 100% recyclable and completely sourcetrack verifiable. Ultralight DWR-treated outer fabric that is wind and water resistant. Fixed hood that fits over most helmets. One chest pocket and two hand pockets insulated on the outside keeping hands and smart-phones protected and warm. Ultra-packable, one hand pocket doubles as a stow-bag, forming a minimal package. Athletic fit, meant to go under a shell jacket. If you plan to wear it as a stand-alone jacket choose one size larger than you normally do.

The Ultralight Down Jacket is basically the same product without the hood. However, smaller down baffles gives it a slightly more narrow profile, and marginally lower insulation capacity.

The Primaloft Hood is filled with synthetic fibres that have a very high insulation capacity — but they can not match 1000 fill power down. The upside is that the fabric and the insulation has higher breathability which makes it a better option for high pulse activities in cold conditions.

The Red Hot Down Parka is a belay jacket, made to wear over all other layers. It is considerably larger, warmer and more lofty, filled with more than twice the amount of premium 800 fill power down.

Every product we create, down to the very last detail, is part of a technical layering system — finely tuned to perform during demanding physical activities in shifting alpine conditions.

A complete Stellar Equipment System will transport moisture away from your body, fast and efficient, while keeping you warm and dry at all times. It also permits materials to move freely over each other for maximum comfort, function and freedom of movement.

Layering is everything when it comes to high performance outerwear: Performance, comfort, energy, safety and durability.
